Kodak Portra 160 is the finest grain film in the Portra series and also has the lowest ISO. Despite the low ISO on the box, this film has an excellent exposure range. Portra 160 has an exposure latitude of about -1EV to +3EV, especially when the highlights are overexposed, it can maintain details and will not easily "blow out".

Portra 160 places special emphasis on the restoration of natural skin tones, and the color performance is warm and soft, avoiding overly bright or exaggerated tones. It is suitable for skin tone performance in portrait photography, making the skin look real, delicate and textured.

The following samples are taken by me using the Olympus OM1 Zuiko 50mm 1.8 lens 35mm Kodak Portra 160.

Please note that film is sensitive to ultraviolet rays. Strong ultraviolet rays will make the picture blue or hazy, especially in high altitudes and snowy areas with strong ultraviolet rays. UV filters can effectively reduce this effect. Although modern film has been improved through technology, the sensitivity of emulsion to ultraviolet rays has been greatly reduced, but the coating of vintage lenses is quite fragile, and UV filters can play a protective role. In such cases, I will most likely use a UV Protection Lens Filter.
