On December 17th, Ricoh Imaging announced the launch of the new GR IV HDF, a high-end compact digital camera suitable for professional use, combining high image quality with a small, lightweight body ideal for quick shooting. Based on the Ricoh GR I high-end compact digital camera, this model innovatively features a one-button HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) for a soft, natural diffused image effect. The Ricoh GR IV HDF is priced at NT$9,599 in China.

While inheriting the core advantages of the base model, such as excellent image quality, the new model also features Ricoh's proprietary HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) system. With a single button operation, users can instantly capture images with soft diffused highlights and a warm, delicate overall atmosphere, while maintaining the base model's signature sharp and clear imaging style. This creative versatility further expands the visual expression boundaries of quick-shooting photography.

The Ricoh GR IV HDF will be available at GR SPACE locations in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, and Brisbane starting December 17, 2025 (Wednesday). Visitors to these locations will have the opportunity to experience the unique charm of this new product firsthand.

Key Features: One-touch switching to the built-in HDF mode delivers a soft, diffused image effect. The GR IV HDF features Ricoh's original HDF (Highlight Difusion Filter), designed to highlight highlights and create a soft, diffused image effect. Developed using Ricoh's years of experience in advanced inkjet technology, this filter softens highlights and creates a hazy effect at the edges of the image, resulting in a vintage feel reminiscent of film photography or cinematic footage. Because the HDF filter can be quickly turned on or off with a single button, users can freely switch between two distinct visual expressions depending on the subject or creative intent: delivering the sharp, clear image characteristic of the Ricoh GR series, or capturing the soft, diffused image unique to HDF.
