According to Canon Rumors, the long-rumored Canon EOS R7 Mark II will arrive in 2026. It's now almost certain that this APS-C professional camera will be available in the first half of 2026. While the exact release date is still unclear, analysts speculate that the EOS R7 Mark II may be unveiled around the CP+ trade show (February 26th - March 1st).
Regarding specifications, previous rumors suggested the EOS R7 Mark II would feature a 40MP image sensor, but the latest news indicates that the camera will actually use a new 39MP back-illuminated sensor. There is currently no information indicating whether it will adopt a stacked design.
Furthermore, the EOS R7 Mark II will support 8K video recording, but the specific frame rate and whether it supports RAW video recording are currently unknown. As a step towards a more professional market, the EOS R7 Mark II will feature a dual card slot design: CFexpress Type B and SD card.
