Canon EOS R7 Mark II: For months, I've been hearing people call this camera a "mini R5": the latest rumor is that the R7 Mark II will feature a 40-megapixel, 8K resolution sensor. This would make it Canon's highest-resolution APS-C camera to date.

Canon RE-1: The RE-1 is said to use the new 32.5-megapixel full-frame sensor found in the R6 Mark III and EOS C50, but the camera may forgo features like 7K video and open shutter shooting, both to reduce costs. Some suggest priced below $1999 to ensure success.

Following the release of the Canon EOS R50V (a sister model to the original EOS R50, but with a greater focus on video shooting), rumors circulated that Canon was developing more models in the RV series, including another model to be released this year. Initially, some suspected it might be the successor to the Canon EOS R7, but now rumors suggest the next RV camera will be a full-frame body: a sister model to the Canon EOS R8.

It appears this will be the flagship camera of the V series, bridging the existing gap between the APS-CR50V and the established CinemaEOs series—before upgrading to a cinematic camera.

The EOS R8V uses the same 24.2-megapixel sensor as the R8 (and R6 Mark II), and is said to be capable of shooting uncropped 4K60p (6K oversampled) and 1.2x cropped 4K 120p video, supporting CLog 3, 10-bit 4:2:2 (H.265) audio, and 4-channel surround sound. 24-bit audio. The body is rumored to be priced at $1799, and the kit lens at $1999.

Canon EOS R3 Mark II

The Canon EOS R3 Mark II may be the company's first model to feature a global shutter sensor—testing the waters of this sensor technology before its full implementation in the R1 Mark II. In fact, there have been rumors that Canon is preparing to release a camera with a global shutter sensor.

However, at the same time, there may no longer be a need to release the R3 Mark II. The original R3 camera is now three years old, and the next few months will be very interesting
