43Rumors published rumors about OM SYSTEM. According to two sources: "Don't expect too much from OM-52.
Although there have been rumors about "stacked CMOS", it seems that it is not advisable to expect too much from the current situation.
Regarding the new model OM-5Ⅱ to be released on June 17, there are also reports that "it is best not to have too high expectations", which is information obtained from two sources.
It seems that the new model seems to have only made extremely minor improvements on the basis of the current OM-5.
Previously, there was news about the installation of a stacked CMOS sensor, but then I learned from multiple other sources that it is best not to have too much expectations for this.
In fact, I originally had some doubts about stacked CMOS, so this result is not surprising. However, whether this upgrade is limited to adding a USB-C interface, or whether the image processing engine will also be updated, this is still very interesting.
After all, the performance of the existing M4/3 image sensor is already good, and perhaps there will be no problem in using the existing specifications.
According to the latest OM SYSTEM OM-52 leaked pictures, the OM-52 mode dial and scroll wheel have turned black, which may be the most significant difference in appearance. The black dial is likely to further reduce costs, because in this way the silver body and black body mode dial can use the same set of accessories.
Judging from OM SYSTEM's cost control, the upgrade of OM-5 Mark ii should be very limited. Apart from the type-c charging port, there will probably only be slight upgrades to the focus or anti-shake mode.
